Adventures in eating - Sunday
So I said I’d post about how much food we consumed while my friend was here visiting and I think I should do so now before I forget everything we ate last week. We ate so much; it’s basically all we did while Dee was here. I was going to put it all in one long post, which I started writing but I got to Thursday and realized it was so long no one would want to read it. So what I decided to do was just post one day at a time to make it easier to read. Anyway let’s begin our adventures in eating for the week ending April 25, 2009.

Sunday, I went with Mira to pick Dee up from LAX. We went back to my house where my mom cooked us chicken adobo for lunch. Mira wasn’t going to stay for lunch but my mom laid on a guilt trip which made it impossible for her to refuse, even with her being on a diet. Poor Mira.
So around 5 PM our buddy David came to pick Dee and I up. We ended up at the GardenWalk where we were going to watch Fast & Furious. We had time to kill because the movie didn’t start ‘til close to 8 so where do we go? Mrs. Fields of course. They were having a buy 3 cookies get 1 free offer…how can we refuse that? We also hit up one of those candy shops and got a bag full of candy for the movie. Want to know something funny? We didn’t even watch the movie. We get into the theater to watch F&F and David’s like, “Oh crap, I have a quiz due at 9.” So we leave after the previews, get a refund, and hurry back to my house. Don’t worry, he did his quiz in time.
So after the buddy got his quiz turned in, we had a discussion on where to go for dinner. David wanted to go to the Boiling Crab but we knew it’d be packed and it’d probably close soon after we were seated. He also suggested Cajun Corner but eh, I steared him away from it because I didn’t want shrimp lol. So after a while I suggested Korean BBQ and told them I went to a really good one before but I couldn’t remember which street it was on and I never knew the name of it. So we started searching Yelp for ones ‘til I thought I found the one I went to: Pal Gak Jung. It ended up not being the same one I went to but it was really good! We got 3 all you can eats. OMG so much meat. Too much meat. After a while I just quit and Dee and David got mad and said that I wasn’t “pulling my weight”. Pshhh I’m only ## pounds I totally WAS for my size lol. They had to finish the last batch of meat all on their own because you know, those places charge you extra if you don’t finish the meat. We left the place vowing to never eat all you can eat Korean BBQ ever again. Let’s see how long that vow will last.
